What is “The Platform”? The Platform is a temporary code word for the nonprofit, nonpartisan campaign financing platform that I’ve been working on for a while. The purpose of The Platform is to dramatically reduce the level of corruption in the U.S. federal government; diminish the destructive stranglehold that special interest group funding has over the electoral, legislative, and regulatory processes of the U.S. Government; and eliminate the most significant affects of the political and economic Toxic Cloud. I’ve written a couple books that describe the legal, technical, political, financial, and philosophical features of The Platform, which I will eventually publish when I have more time to focus on promoting them effectively.
Working on The Platform during my free time is a labor of love that brings me hope for the future of American Democracy and Capitalism. Sometimes hope is enough to sustain us until the fruits of our labor impel reality to catch up with our vision of a better future. Given the current state of American Democracy today, we need a lot more than hope, which is why I’m working to make The Platform a viable alternative to the toxic political circus that dominates American politics today.
